I am a son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. My family, my faith, and my country all mean so much to me. Not because it is superior to others but because it allows me to live a life full of freedoms.
I am a West Virginian with deep roots in the state. I am a Veteran, a patriot, and a friend to all. I participated in Operation Iraqi and Operation enduring freedom. I only left West Virginia two times as an adult; once to serve our country as a soldier and the second to attend law school.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree from WVU, attended Graduate School at ETSU and have a Juris Masters and Juris Doctor from Appalachian School of Law. I am a licensed contractor and was able to secure nearly $8 million dollars worth of contracts through the Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside program. My greatest accomplishment and my guiding light is my son, Owen Carter Cosner.
Both of my parents were in the military. This allowed me to travel all over the country and the world with them. My family has over 300 years of military experience serving this great Nation. We have served, bled, and died so others can experience freedom. My family and I share what many West Virginians do—a love for our State and our Nation.
We are hard working proud patriotic people. My family are coal miners, soldiers, construction workers, Veterans, teachers, healthcare professionals. We are employed by the FBI, Mylan Pharmaceuticals, West Virginia University, and the Bureau of Prisons. My family loves our State, our way of life and of course the West Virginia Mountaineers.
It is my hope that the voters of West Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District are ready for leader to address the concerns we face without political party influence.
Thank you for your consideration.
